The Autumn Poem

TAP A4 cover image.png

“Autumn mornings settle down

with swirls of cinnamon in fumbled chais.

Twelve degrees.

The trailing end of sweaty days.”

And so, the perfect autumn day begins. Through stockings, books and city blocks, the poet winds their way through the falling leaves. The sunlight lingers, the winter creeps and the best of the maple months is romanticised. Inspired by T.S Eliot’s ‘Preludes’ and the English Romantics, ‘The Autumn Poem’ is an ode to the aesthetic and vibe of winter’s glorious eve.
